Social change is a movement that is never really complete. The womens movement is the biggest movement in the history of the planet earth, because it affected everybody- children, men, women, and is continuing to affect those people all around the world. I think young women may do things differently, but they are no less feminist then those who have come before them. They have their own versions of what women of another generation have experienced. I see a lot of the work thats happening around the environment, around immigration reform, around changes in domestic violence laws- a lot of it is being led by young feminist women. I do not care how a women defines herself if she is doing pro-eqaulity. The work is still being done. They insist upon expansions of their own limits, so that even when they slow down, the trajectory is so clear that I am not in the least bit worried Take Back The Night originally started as a campaign against violence against women- and has now broaden to campaign against violence in all forms.
