Social media has been more of a curse than a gift. Im upset to see folks in the community getting into grudge matches. Certain people have shown their true colours lately. Also its hard to connect with folks on a level these days because of their emotional responses or egotistical attitudes. Through doing this project, its helped me to become more self-reflective and inspired to focus on building ideas of longevity. I even posted a comment up on the Human Zoo post about those supporting each other and working on positive things that are more of an necessity rather then focusing on the negatives of what we already know about white supremacist. Thats not to say theres nothing wrong in protesting or marching. As im proud of the outcome and achievement of those who stood tall against the NONSENSE of these racist demons, but i still feel there is a much BIGGER FISH TO FRY. As someone whos learning to be more mature, striking down a brother or sister for making a positive contribution to the community isnt unity. Or pointing fingers at those who didnt MARCH. Some people on the post, ive never seen at Black HistoryStudies event, a Leah Salmon event, a Natural November event, a Loveis Justaverb and the over 100 events that i been to in the last 3 years. I remember before starting my own project. I attended certain brothers & sisters events out of LOVE and not seen the support back from these same folks. But that doesnt mean i will complain because i know im better than that. I wouldnt even still support them when & where i can. And i learnt that from certain brothers & sisters who had to school me or even told me off. Certain folks might read this post and feel im being a hater or this that or the other, but 9 times out of 10 people only come at you when theyve not dealt with their internal issues. We could do a lot better if we wasnt so selfish and all worked towards common goals that can secure a future for generations to come. Instead of focusing on something that doesnt change the issues we still face tomorrow. All im going to say, ITS ALL LOVE FROM MY SIDE OF THE FIELD. I learn just like you and DRIVEN to see JUSTICE. I might not be from the angle of always MARCHING, but i will also try my best to be affective in future projects i want to put on for our youth or in doing projects such; The Man in the Mirror. PS - I HOPE ALL THE BROTHERS & SISTERS IN THE COMMUNITY WHO ARE DOING POSITIVE THINGS THAT CAN HEAL THE NATION THE BEST OF LUCK. HOPE ALL YOUR DREAM COME TRUE AND HOPE THEY MANIFEST TOWARDS SUCCESS.
