Social media provides us with an opportunity to connect with others. Yet, this time of year, it can often make others feel inadequate. You may have friends or family members post pictures of their kids doing or saying things your child is not yet doing. As you reflect on the year, only compare your child to your child. What are they doing that they were not doing at this time last year? What are some of their best qualities (the big smile you get when you walk into the room, the way they hug you and you immediately forget about everything else, etc)? Remember this about social media ... people are able to post exactly what they want you to see/know. Your child is unique, absolutely special, and perfection in every way possible.
