Social networking has made me suspicious. If I see a post claiming that someone has been involved with dog fighting, or some such other nastiness, if the post isnt from an established source - then I go and check it out before commenting. I know that some people get enjoyment out of seeing their untrue posts swing around the world and this is an easy way to discredit someone you may have a grudge against - an innocent person getting harassed for no good reason. Likewise, I also hesitate liking or commenting on posts which does not have a credible link when it is heralding a hero or two for their bravery. Maybe my heart is becoming cynical but I cant find any credible report linking some chaps (names being posted on FB) re. their heroic act to save 20 dogs from the fire in Manchester. My apologies if their story is true, but I cannot like it until I know that it is fact and not just something they are doing for notoriety and their chance for their names to go viral. The age of skepticism has arrived, whatever happened to Aquarius?
