Socialist Democratic Party merge into BJP The State unit of BJP got further strengthened on Saturday when Socialisit Democratic Party (SDP), under its State President Dr. Drakshan Andrabi, merged into BJP besides joinings of a large number of Retired senior officers, leaders of other political parties, leading businessmen and social activists. They were garlanded and welcomed into the party fold by State President & MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, Leader of Legislative party Ashok Khajuria, State Election Campaign Committee Chairman Dr. Nirmal Singh, State General Secretaries Ashok Kaul, Kavinder Gupta and Bali Bhagat and party MLA Sham Choudhary. Jugal Kishore Sharma, on this occasion, said that the BJP is heading towards becoming the dominant and the largest party being most popular and acceptable to all in Jammu & Kashmir and the NC, Congress and PDP leaders are feeling frustrated. The fear of facing the people can be well judged from the fact that the NC leaders are deserting their traditional dynastic constituencies in view of their definite defeat and opting to contest from other constituencies. He said that the merger of SDP and joining of such a large number of people drawn from different walks of life will obviously prove to take party on new heights. Ashok Khajuria said that the entire length and breadth of the state is yearning for the victory of BJP in the ensuing assembly elections. The party’s slogan—BJP Lao Pradesh Bachao—is attracting the attention of the masses and we are getting overwhelming response. There is no doubt that with each passing day, BJP is reaching more closer towards government formation. Dr. Nirmal Singh said that the Narendra Modi wave, which swept the Lok Sabha elections, is now making the people in Jammu and Kashmir to appreciate the importance and need of bringing BJP to power in the state as has been witnessed in Maharashtra and Haryana. He said the change in the mindset of even the leaders of other parties is a clear indication that they want to go with the sentiments of public and strengthen the the nationalist forces in J&K by siding with and joining BJP. Ashok Kaul said that the much awaited “achche din” has begun as the people themselves are realizing that in the shortest time the BJP led government under Narendra Modi has been displaying its commitment for good governance, corruption free administration, bringing down price line and working for common people. He expressed faith that the Mission 44+ will be achieved during the ensuing elections. Dr. Drakshna Andrabi, while briefing about the merger of SDP into BJP, said that the slogan of change, change and change has been echoing in every nook and corner of J&K and the whole nation is looking towards the people’s decision to show door to NC, Congress and PDP and bring in BJP which has proved its credentials during four month rule at the Centre.
