Sociology 101. D.C. police recently stopped a man while responding to a call about a burglary alarm in a wealthy Northwest Washington D.C. neighborhood. An attorney and a neighborhood resident Jody Westbuy intervenes. This video is amazing not only because it shows the way police should behave when confronted by a resident while doing their job, but tells us a lot about race and authority in this country today. She tells the police the stop was inappropriate and Just because hes black doesnt mean he robbed a house. If Jody Westbuy is a young black person, in a less affluent community, things would have gone in a completely different direction.
