Sofia and I come home from the APEN office warming and I hear her from the other room chanting Protest! Protest! Then she yells for me to come help her protest. I think APENs executive director Miya Yoshitanis speech on racial, economic and environmental justice inspired her. Sofia had picked up a Bed Bath and Beyond 20% off mailer and was marching around our coffee table with it. This is how the chanting went: Me: What do we want? Sofia: My pony! Me: When do we want it? Sofia: Now! We practice inserting Justice in there a little. Then Sofia stops and runs into the kitchen saying: Im gonna go get some justice! If only justice were hidden somewhere in my kitchen...
