Solar eclipse is just a natural phenomenon which has no benefit or effect to social or economical aspect of human life. Therefore, it is pertinent on all muslims to avoid bidah n shirk acts such as shouting, beating sinners or destroying hotels during an eclipse. A solar eclipse has been predicted to occur today 3rd Nov (29th zhul hijja). The prophet Muhammad (SAW) recommends that in an event of an eclipse, a Nafila should be observed. This is called Solaatul khusuf. Where you observe a two rakaat nafila but with four Rukuu. The nafila is observed by reciting fatiha and any other surat. Followed by a prolonged Rukuu. After standing from the rukuu, another suratul faatiha n any other surat is recited. This is followed by another prolonged rukuu. After which, sujuud is performed and it is expected to be a prolonged sujuud. After the two sujuuds, another rakaah is perform just like the firdst rakaa where by after suratul faatiha and another surah, u rukuu and rising from rukuu you read suratul faatiha and another surah. Before completing the prayer. Please lets all join to observe this naafila. It is highly recommended by the Prophet.
