SolarHam Attached is an updated image of the visible solar disk on Sunday. Solar activity continued at moderate levels with an impulsive M4.9 solar flare detected at 05:22 UTC around sunspot 1884. There will remain a chance for isolated moderate activity around this region during the next 24 hours. Sunspot 1887 located in the northeast quadrant showed new spot growth over the past 6 hours and should be monitored. Newly numbered sunspot 1890 continues to rotate into view off the southeast limb and appears to be stable at this time. This region may also be capable of producing an isolated M-Class solar flare within the next 24 hours. All other visible regions, including new sunspot 1889 remain stable.
