Soldiers from Chindwin baracks have killed the Mailon Bothers. According to information received, Soldiers from three mechanised battalion Chindwin barracks shot dead the Mailon bothers around 15 hours local time. A Kabwe resident told the Watchdog ‘I have seen the bodies as the were being removed from the ZAF Choper into a Zambia army land cruise at Chindwin barracks,’ And the Zambia police have confirmed the killing of the Mailon brothers. ‘The three were shot dead by the Zambia Army officers who have been operating from the area on 24th June 2013 around 15 hours. They have been positively identified as Mika Mailoni aged 35, Stephen Mailoni 31 and Fabian Elias TundaMailoni aged 27 year,’ said police spokesperson Charity Chanda She said the bodies of deceased have been positively identified by village headman NgosaChibale whom they once attacked and two of their childhood friends. ‘The trio was cornered between chief Chembe and Chinika area in Luano valley. The bodies of the deceased are lying in Kabwe general hospital mortuary awaiting identification by their mother’ said Chanda. The Mailon bothers are a family of killers who have been living in the bush and killing people around the Luano valley in Mkushi District. They are reported to have killed close to 20 people so far. The Zambia police have failed to capture the killer brothers since 2007 when then started the ‘civil’ war. The Maillon bothers have been using bows and arrows to kill people. The brothers are Mika, Fabien and Stefan,, two of them are seen in an old photo with their mother.
