Solemnity of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary SEEKING HIM And his mother kept all these things in her heart. – Luke 2:51 It was an agonizing decision I had to make because I wasn’t sure I should change careers. All my prayers — daily prayer time, Holy Rosary, Mass, visits to the Blessed Sacrament — were filled with anguish, trying to understand the direction the Lord wanted me to take. In His own inimitable way, the Lord answered with a sense of direction and a message in my heart that gave me peace to step forward and take the leap. I have found time and again that the Lord hears the prayers of His servants when they ask for guidance and direction. It doesn’t always come easy. But as I treasure in my heart what He has taught me in the past and continue to learn from Him, He has shown the way. In the process of getting to know His will, of desiring to follow Him and of seeking His blessing, I have also gotten to know more His character, His desires and His heart. On this Feast of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary, let us imitate Mary and trust the Lord to speak to us. Let us seek Him with all our hearts.
