Solid example of why Ill never run out of work to do on this planet. This shit is rampant. When I was in junior high school I got teased for having a big ass. A few years later, by the grace of J.Lo, it became OK (which isnt entirely true, it was always OK, I just didnt know or feel that yet when I was a teenager). The best part? None of it matters. Its all on the outside. And how we each feel about our own bodies and other peoples has everything to do with whats inside. And whats inside has a lot to do with our culture, conditioning and programming, much of which is ancestral, age old, deeply ingrained by exactly what Justine points out. Patriarchy. And one of the most patriarchal establishments in the history of the world is religion. Wake up and check your scripts and belief systems people. Most of us have agreed to a lot of bullshit that isnt true, helpful or productive and when we do this, we suffer individually and collectively. I dont begrudge anyone their beliefs nor do I have the audacity to propose that I know better than anyone, that my beliefs are better than anyone elses or that anyone should share my beliefs. I just wonder why so many are willing to subscribe to those that perpetuate separateness - between individuals, between us and The Divine, between body and spirit, nature and humans and so much more.
