The SIRCS is seeking applications for a suitably qualified and experienced person to immediately fill the position of DISSEMINATION/COMMUNICATION OFFICER based in the National Head Office, Honiara. The person will coordinate the promotion of the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross movement, respect of the Red Cross Society and produce external media materials for coverage of SIRCS work. The individuals we are seeking should have: • Formal qualifications (tertiary degree or diploma) in the field as advertised • Minimum two to three years work experience in a similar role • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills including presentation skills • Excellent relationship management skills • Knowledge and commitment to the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross • Willingness to travel as needed • Willingness to work overtime to support disaster response operations, when needed The Solomon Islands Red Cross Society is an equal opportunity employer and seeks to encourage both men and women to apply for these positions.
