Solutions Architect - Fairfield, NJ Purpose and Scope of Position This hands-on position coordinating responses to complex technical RFPs in support sales teams. Also provides management and development of quoting personnel. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Description • Responsible to coordinate and manage responses to RFPs, including oversight and management of Quote team personnel to provide timely and accurate quotes for services and products to vertical market business unit sales teams. • Manage, supervise and/or perform the following: Evaluate quote requests from sales and follow-up with questions. Research pricing using department resources, Internet and manufacturers’ resources and reference material. Coordinate with sales engineering, product management and other internal and external technical resources as needed to prepare quotes. Prepare quotes using company guidelines and according to pricing and discount structures. Archive quotes and support materials for future reference. Coordinate/update purchasing team as needed. Enter new part codes in the InsidEdge database as needed. • Responsible for overseeing and providing input on process and implementation of new quote forms, templates, etc. • Other support for marketing department including, but not limited to, pricing and content for responses to RFPs, development of quote forms/templates for clients and web site updates. Minimum Qualifications - REQUIRED • Five to seven years experience at a Cisco reseller or information systems/products reseller or similar capacity. • Technically competent with: a.) WAN; b.) IPT; and c.) Storage servers • Experience in management and/or supervisory capacity. • Excellent working knowledge of Cisco portal, tools and resources. • Experience with Cisco Systems and other manufacturers’ products, configuration/pricing tools, rebate programs, sales deviations and related tools and resources. • Pricing development experience. • Associates degree in business or technical field. • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal – are essential. • Strong computer skills – must be an advanced user of Microsoft Office – Excel and Word. • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast pace environment while adhering to strict deadlines and producing quality work. • Organized and detail-oriented. • Willingness and ability to stay late or work weekends as the needs of the business require. • Demonstrated team work. • Track record of being positive, professional, proactive and customer-focused. • Capacity to obtain and retain extensive knowledge of business functions, services, products and policies. • Willingness and ability to learn new computer skills and programs. • Willingness to successfully complete the Cisco CSE certification training within 90 days of start date. • Willingness to complete training and conduct business according to the Telsource Quality System – ACE “Achieving Competitive Excellence”. Additional Qualifications - DESIRED • Experience with CRM software. • Technical certifications from leading manufacturers – Cisco, Mitel, Avaya. • Specialized technical knowledge – IP telephony, unified communications, network security, wireless LANs, routing and switching.
