Solutions Architect The incumbent will be responsible to the Solutions Development Manager Basic Function of the Job Develops system design documents for use in the coding and testing of business applications and solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Applies standard Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process in the development of business applications and solutions in response to business requirements; • Receive and analyse requests from the organisation’s departments for development of ICT solutions. • Develops test plans and data and performs testing to verify that the programs function correctly and to ensure that modifications have not caused error in other parts of the program, interfacing programs and interfacing systems; • Designs, develops, and implements integrated Web Applications using industry standards such as Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture; • Reviews and analyses software programs to gain a detailed understanding of the implementation of the underlying business functions; • Performs second-level functional/technical support of business applications and solutions throughout their active life; • Follows established ITIL processes in troubleshooting, fixing, configuring, upgrading, testing, implementing or deploying fixes/patches/upgrades to web-based enterprise applications. • Applies effective quality control and security measures to all applications modules; ensures that custom oracle objects (reports, forms, interfaces) are supportable by preparing proper documentation. Qualifications and Work Experience: • Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems • Minimum 4 years related work experience with a solid background in analysis, design and development of web-based corporate systems. • Strong experience with Object oriented design (OOD) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Competencies • Microsoft Dynamics CRM development skills • Microsoft SharePoint development skills • Strong understanding of Core Microsoft technologies, including: .Net 3.5 and 4.0 platforms, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), BizTalk Server • Knowledge and use of Microsoft’s team Foundation Server (TFS), SQL Server 2008 or later. • Experience with Microsoft Enterprise Library is an asset. • Understanding of Multi-threaded and Asynchronous application design • Strong background in C# • Highly skilled at front-end development using Object-Oriented JavaScript, various JavaScript libraries and micro frameworks (jQuery, AJAX, Web API 2.0), HTML5 and CSS 3 • Experience using ASP.NET MVC 3/4 • Knowledge of HTML 5 Canvas and SignalR is a plus • Experience with animation related libraries such as JQuery’s Animation and Web GL is a plus • Experience with Google Maps API is a plus • Microsoft Developer Certification is an added advantage If you wish to be considered for any of the posts above, please apply to the, Human Resources Director, TelOne Private Limited, 107 Kwame Nkrumah, Runhare Building, or e-mail to [email protected] not later than 29 December 2014.
