It’s easy…… watch We’ll use the word SOMA, which means read/study The subject prefixes (for people) are: ni- I u- you a- s/he m- you (pl.) wa- they tu- we The present tense uses –NA The past tense uses –LI The future tense uses –TA So…. NI+NA+SOMA (ninasoma) = I study (I am studying) NI+LI+SOMA (nilisoma)= I studied NI+TA+SOMA (nitasoma) = I will study U+NA+SOMA (unasoma) = You study (You are studying) U+LI+SOMA (ulisoma) = You studied U+TA+SOMA (utasoma) = You will study Do you see the pattern? Let’s try another word KUTOKA (to come from): NI+NA+TOKA (ninatoka) = I come from U + LI + TOKA (ulitoka) = You came from A+TA+TOKA (atatoka) = She/He will come from Do you get it?
