Some 30 years or so ago, I met a young woman with such amazing potential as a thoughtful, inspiring role model that I never forgot her. Although she was one of hundreds of students I taught, she stood out as someone very special, and a while back I found her here on Facebook. I was right about her, as she has grown into a strong woman with a sense of dignity, compassion, insight and wisdom that should be cloned. Today, after too many medical treatments, hospitalizations and - most recently - several days in hospice, her 24 year old son died. Reading the posts over the past few weeks have been painful as no parent should ever have to make these kinds of decisions, nor ever have to travel the road she has had to take. My heart cries for you, lovely lady.
