Some CMs oppose the formation of NCTC, how is that even a sane decision??? There are many arbitrary, illogical, illegitimate and/or very melodramatic reasons cited for not forming such a body to deal with the militancy and terrorism in the country... For example, Shiv Raj Singh Chauhan says, why NCTC, why not SCTC [state based body]? While Modi opposes to the creation of such a body and says it as unnecessary. I will say, why not, surely yes. But, only if there is a national level body to coordinate and organize activities on national level. Constitution does provide for this sort of arrangement whereby states can form and run such state level bodies to expedite national interests. A greater cooperation and coordination between centre and state is the need of the hour! Then, why such suspicion over the centre? Why are these conspiracy theories in place? Then, if there is no disagreement, why such great opposition from the opposition party? Is this not anti-national an action??? Do these people oppose to the goal of creating a safe country?
