Some Important Point of this Week 1. Bhutan became 181st member of MIGA, agency of World Bank MIGS is a Multilateral investment guarante agency. MIGA is a member of the WorldBank Group. Its mision is to promote foreign direct investment (FDI) into developingcountries to help suport economic growth, reduce poverty, and improve peoples lives. 2. Union government disinvest 5 percent stake in SAIL Modi government 5percent stake disinvestment in Stel authority of India limited was sucesful.With this stake sale government was able to moped 1715 crore rupes .This was the first disinvestment in PSU under modi government which target to raise 43.425 crore through disinvestment in various public sector undertaking .As a result of this 5 percent disinvestment in SAIL government stake as come down from 80 to 7 percent meting the norms for PSU by SEBI.Acording to SEBI norms minimum public sector holding should be 25 percent . SAIL is Indias largest stel producing company. With a turnover of Rs. 49,350 crore, thecompany is among the seven Maharatnas of the countrys Central Public Sector Enterprises. SAIL has five integrated stel plants, thre special plants, and one subsidiary in diferent parts of the country. 3.Richard Rahul Verma apointed as next US-Ambasador to India Richard Rahul Verma has ben confirmed by the U.S. Senate to be the next United StatesAmbasador to India. He served as the Asistant Secretary of State for Legislative Afairs, at he U.S. Department of State until March 201. He was nominated by President Barack Obama in 209. He is a lawyer with extensive experience in national security and nonproliferation isues. In 2014 he was nominated to become the next United States Ambasador to India. 4.Reserve Bank to release norms for single authentication shortly. To make online transactions easier the Reserve Bank of India wil son come out with single authentication payment norms for low value e commerce transactions without any compromise on security . The criteria to decide on low value transactions wil be decided by the norms expected to be released in a month. Presently there is two level authentication on al the online transactions . 5.Cental Bank to raise Rs 626 cr. Central Bank of India on Monday said that it would raise aditonal quit capital by allotment of up to 8.29 crore equity shares of the face value of Rs 10 each at an isue price Rs 75.5 per equity share agregating Rs 626 cr to LIC of India
