Some World Record by Pakistani Cricketers: Imtiaz Ahmad was the first wicket keeper batsman to score a double century. Wasim Bari was the first Wicket keeper who took 7 catches behind the stumps in an innings. This match was played at Auckland, capital of New Zealand. Only three wicket keepers have taken seven catches in an innings in history. Pakistani team holds the record of maximum difference in scored runs in two innings of a test match. In 1957-58 Pakistan made only 106 runs against West Indies in Bridge Town. But they played very well in the second innings and made 657 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. This was the historical match in which Hanif Muhammad had scored 337 runs. Majid Khan was the first of those four batsmen who have scored their century before lunch time on the first day. In 1997-98 All rounder Azhar Mahmood and Mushtaq Ahmad made 151 runs in 10th wicket partnership. They just equlized the past record but could not break that. In above mentioned match Azhar Mahmood was on his debut with another player Ali Naqvi and they both scored centuries on debut. This was the first time that two new-comers had scored centuries in their first matches. Inzamam-ul-Haq has made the highest runs (184) in his 100th test match. He broken the previous record of 149 runs held by Gorden Grange of West Indies. Also Inzamam-ul-Haq is the only batsman to score Centuries in his 100th and 101st match. In 2001 Pakistani Cricket team leveled a 46 years old record. In this particular match 5 Pakistanis made centuries against Bangladesh. Pakistan’s former captain and the best bowler Wasim Akram has got six world records for his country. Three of those were made in a single match: In 1996-97, Wasim Akram scored 257 runs, he hit most number of sixes (12) of an innings and made a world record for 8th wicket partner ship with Saqlain Mushtaq. Saqlain scored 79 runs in that innings, he had come as night watchman (highest score ever made by a night watch man is 201* made by Gillispe of Australia in 2006) Wasim Akram has been declared man of match for 13 times in test cricket. Its the maximum times he has been the Man of Match. Wasim Akram is the only bowler to make two hat-tricks in both ODI and Test.
