Some advice for future television sports journalists, should they get the chance to occupy positions of power in network sports: Among other changes, you ought to eliminate in-game, dugout interviews during baseball games. They add nothing to the games storyline and potentially could cause viewers to miss important action on the field. When I tune in, I want to see the game, not a 5-10 minute interview with Detroit ace right-hander Justin Verlander. (Hes a great guy, but hes sitting in the dugout). Also, get rid of those useless, out-of-breath halftime interviews with college football coaches. They rarely tell us anything. (We need to execute better and eliminate mistakes....Very profound).
