Some animals are sick and are removed from the herd and left in the cold to die because it is the best way to protect the herd. A good Shepard must do this like it or not, Sadly the sick and wounded animal is sometimes to stupid to understand this and will lash out blindly feeling hurt and wounded. The stupid animal should simply move on and enjoy the life it has because if the Shepard believes the animal to be a threat he might be forced to take measures to make sure the animal can not harm the shepherds family.
