Some are very angry at those teaching salvation has ended. But doesnt the Bible teach that salvation ends on Judgment Day? Yes it does. Thats what the shutting of the door signifies (Luke 13:24-28). Its what the darkening of the sun signifies (Matthew 24:29). It is why they will seek death and not find it (Revelation 9:6). It is why the Bible speaks of Judgment Day as a time when waters (gospel) are dried up (Revelation 16:12). Its why the Bible says the joy of the harp ceaseth (Isaiah 24:8). Its why Jeremiah 50:12 says that the end of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert. And its why Revelation 18 says that the voice of the Bridegroom (Christ) and voice of the bride (body of believers) shall not be heard in her anymore. Theres no question that the Bible teaches an end to salvation, and that that end occurs on Judgment Day. Therefore the difficulty people have with this doctrine isnt a problem with Gods elect that are sharing it; but its a difficulty with the Sovereign God that has brought it to pass. The dispute is with God over His action of shutting heavens door: Luke 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. 25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: The dispute is with God that has established a great gulf between the righteous on one hand (that are righteous still) and the filthy on the other hand (that are filthy still). And God has determined there will be a time in which one may not cross to the other side: Luke 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
