Some believe an uprising, or economic collapse, will be the end of our Great Nation. I disagree. I believe apathy and cynicism are slowly draining the life from our amazing Representative Republic. Currently, only 12.7% of registered voters in Clark County have voted. Total turnout is now projected to be around 40%. So, of 430,000 people in Clark County, 250,000 are registered voters, and about 100,000 will vote. Thats pathetic! There are very few things asked of us as Americans - to repay the sacrifices so many made to preserve this Republic, to fight for the place we leave our children. We are asked to vote, to voice our support for those people and issues that will represent us. If you dont do that, if you choose not to vote, you still have made a choice. Youll have chosen to sacrifice your right to justifiably complain if elections dont go the way you like. And trust me, elections have consequences. For now, and for many years to come. And trust me, your vote matters. I can easily rattle off elections here and around our State where a few or a few hundred votes made the difference. Like this post if youve voted. If you havent voted, if youre part of the 87.3% of our Countys voters....thats right, 87.3%!!!!.....then please dont forget to take the time, do the limited duty asked of you by this great Nation, and VOTE!
