Some children today are so rude and disrespectful...I remember when I was 20 years old...I (I left my mothers house when I was 19) I was a fully grown woman...(back then you were not considered grown unless you were FULLY self supporting through your OWN contributions) and I was, I worked 12 hours a day, 7 days a week back then. I went back home to visit my father. Of course when I go home to visit...its party time. I go to the party with my cousins. Long story short I get back to my dads at around 12:45am and Im locked out! His lecture the following morning: I dont care how grown you are youre 20 years old, you dont have a husband and you young lady will be in this house at 12:00am and not a minute after! Me: Yes Sir... Him: Im your father and for as long as you live dont you ever let me hear you cursing again! Me: Father, I wasnt cursing... Him: yes you were...when you saw that the door was locked I heard you say damn! Me: yes father, Im sorry... Love my Southern up bringing and values! These kids today? SMH... I told yall my Godmother sent me to bed and 7:45 pm right? No TV after 8:00...and Im not allowed to talk on my cell phone, or use any electronic device in her presence ...yeah, that was last month! Shes 88...she still see me as...her child. I am.
