Some days are cloudy and gray It seems as if the rain is chasing all of my dreams away. While other days are bright and sunny Making you feel as through the things you can accomplish are many. Instead I feel like spending the entire day in bed. Just wanna pull my sheets over my head. I want to snuggle real close and feel wonderful inside Instead my brain and body is feeling totally fried I am so glad that today is the end of the week Maybe on the weekend I won’t feel like my bones want to creek I have so had enough of this rain I want visions of warmth and sunshine running through my brain I long for the bright light of the sun So that I could spend lots of time outside with all my loved ones. Sitting in the house all the time has gotten me down And has placed my lips in what feels like a permanent frown So please mother nature please bring me back the summer So I am not sitting here feeling like it is a total bummer I guess I need to reprogram my brain So that I get used to all of the rain I will sit here today trying to improve on my attitude And try to show a little bit of gratitude Because I am surrounded by those that love me And trying to remember that this is the key That either rain or shine or cold or warm That nothing can change that, not even another storm So on this particular day I have but one wish coming your way.
