Some days are diamonds and some days just are not. The older I - TopicsExpress

Some days are diamonds and some days just are not. The older I get, however, the more I try to find the good in every day. Some days its easier than others. Today just happened to be one of those days. I got up early and had the priviledge of sharing at the Tennessee Valley Outreach Rescue Mission. No one left while I spoke and I got a whole lot of amens so it must not have been too bad! In studying and preparing, I learned so much about my failings and spoke as much, if not more, to myself than to them. I was joined by Gail Williams and Jody Godsey Peterson, my cheerleaders. Following service, I attended Sunday School with them, went shopping, had lunch with my boys and the girls, went on a walk, took apart a bedroom and moved it then reestablished said bedroom at another residence and didnt spill the mattress out of the truck (like everyone just knew I would do). I even managed the silly giggles in the process! Then met my best friend to show off a place I can only dream about, but is so me its perfect (downsizing in my future), and then sat for hours just relaxing by the river sipping iced tea with lotsa lemon. Came home and had the perfect slaw dog and have sat here tonight looking back over the days events and planning for my future endeavors and the changes that I MUST make in my life. To each and every one of you, thank you for being a part of my life. You have all touched me in some special way and I am blessed. This week I will be going through some difficult things, but if I will allow God to control my actions and my thoughts and keep looking up, then I KNOW everything will work out to HIS glory. Moving on is hard, but being stagnant, while its easy, gets us no where. His eye is on the sparrow, and I KNOW He watches me............
