Some decades ago...I was deliberately taken advantage of by an older theater artist. I did extensive work and was informed that none of our agreement would be honored. With a smile, the miscreant actually said, Welcome to Showbiz! Now... I have not thought about that event for decades! I neither stewed nor ruminated. But a recent post on Facebook brought the memory flooding back to me! I asked an old friend, Where are our memories when were not using them? His reply made me laugh out-loud: There’s like a big waiting room where the memories sit around, waiting to be remembered, telling the same stories over and over, boring the shit out of each other. And THATS why we need and love our old friends!
