Some details of the new Attila title and screenshots: Some key features: CAMPAIGN -Campaign map will feature toggeable overviews such as sanitations, topography, and expanded camera zoom. -Map is same size as R2TW. Oceans look a lot better. Weather effects will change from region to region. -Family tree makes a return (thank the lord), can now assign roles such as governorship of specific regions & allows for issuance of edicts -UI given a woodier, darker look. Building browser improved to allow for quick overview. Also, instead of the simplistic picture of buildings, now building icons are much more detailed. -Sanitations & disease have larger impact on campaign & battles, with troops suffering from its effects & city population from producing food/happiness -New tech tree featuring all the technology is now in one place. -New skill tree now available as a separate window -Unit icons no longer represent pot images, more akin to Rome 1 -Cities can now be abandoned or wiped out completely, denying troops from being able to reinforce, leaving a crater that must be rebuilt from scratch. -Didnt hear any new music yet. BATTLE MAP -Battle maps have a much more medieval/dark ages look, buildings appear more like M2TW. -Siege escalation feature-the more you siege a city, the more damaged the city will appear on the battle map -Fire has a gameplay purpose, can spread and damage troop morale, can also damage buildings in campaign map. -Defenders can now construct defensive structures like barricades to funnel troops, but can be destroyed by attacking troops that will hit it directly. -Tactical map improved, units now represented by a solid box instead of the shape-shifting transparent box. -Crossbow infantry makes an appearance, Arrow towers now fire multiple shots per volley -Civilians will appear if the siege escalation is at sufficiently low level, will run when approached & hide in buildings. -Scout units can be deployed outside of deployment zone. -Raider units can be sent in, but will pillage & plunder that will damage buildings in campaign map. -City shown in demo has more verticality to them, with multilevel tiers instead of just being flat. -Roads confer charge & speed bonus to units in cities. -Unit status indicators now appear on top of unit cards instead of smack dab in the middle. -Torches dont seem to be present. -MSAA is back. postimg.org/image/d6km6i6hn/ postimg.org/image/vanmr5463/ postimg.org/image/h6rriqwyj/ postimg.org/image/x3qjfgpcr/ postimg.org/image/wpcqfk2h7/ postimg.org/image/u2hk5wxvb/ Looks very SHogun like with elements of Paradoxs titles. Not a bad thing.
