Some different kinds of joy these days: Coming home and gazing at the avocado tree, watching to see which of the zillion flowers will set fruit. And watching the jonathan apple, apricots, peach, cherry, orange and lime trees as their flowers and fruit swell. Nabbing the few ripe strawberries every day. Just sitting in my sit spot, bearing witness to the birdlife and insect life and life-life around me every day. Filling the bird bath to make sure yortle the tortle doesnt dry out. And feeling my body and brain shift and change with a new approach to food, movement and exercise. And for with this latest round of tax preparation, the realisation of what I have and am accomplishing. How far I have come from the dark dark days of Workcover and Centrelink. And the connections Im making…..in so many ways. Much to be grateful for. And even new people to teach me more about gratitude. Sigh. :)
