Some dogs wait a long time to find a home, yet others are adopted - TopicsExpress

Some dogs wait a long time to find a home, yet others are adopted in a heartbeat, and often its difficult to know what the outcome will be when we rescue a dog in need. This is Abbey (on right). She came to us with a severe case of mange a little while ago. She went into foster care with volunteer, Geana, who treated her, cared for her, fed her special home prepared meals, bathed her and gave this little dog the best possible chance to recover and be given the opportunity to be a happy and healthy puppy. In the meantime we received an email from Pete and Debbi who showed interest in adopting this little dog. Pete and Debbi waited patiently whilst Geana continued to work with the vet to ensure Abbey received the attention she needed, prior to leaving her foster home. Shes made great improvment and today was the day that this lucky little dog went to her new home. Here she is with her newly found friend. They played all day and its only been a few hours, but shes already won everyones hearts ! Abbeys treatment will continue in her new home and her kind new family will give this little dog everything she needs to ensure she makes a full recovery.
