Some experiences to share: 1) Our Engineering programme director, Dr Tim Brown, on first day, told us not to ask for holidays IF anyone is getting married. In his words: Dont marry in your MSc, till your MSc, because this one year is tough (to some parents). 2) I had my Library induction today and I am totally impressed by the library at the University of Surrey. The librarian is very friendly. The system is impressive and I wish I can do something about libraries in Pakistan in future InshaAllah (I want to say more here, but later I will). 3) Some of the prayer areas during daytime are party places by night (Angels by day, devils by night). 4) My first friend from Electronic Engineering department told me about his Undergrad thesis, in which he was to publish a research paper BUT his advisors fiancee ran away two months before their marriage, which affected my friends thesis, research and grade (I laughed endlessly!). 5) An undergrad boy passed by telling me I have the most beautiful hair on Earth (thanks to him). :) :) :)
