Some final photos and thoughts from St Florian: here are the first arrivals for tonights Grand Finale concert in the Basilika, one work, the Bruckner Symphony No. 8. A capacity crowd packed the Basilika tonight to hear the Upper Austria Youth Orchestra, under the charismatic direction of the young French conductor, Rémy Ballot, perform magnificently. In speaking with the Gramola record label tonight, our hope is to have the SACD out by Christmas.....a lot of work still to come! Tomorrow morning very early I drive to Munich to catch my flight back to Houston.
