Washington Square Music Festival: Harmonica & Harp with Festival Orchestra in Manhattan Washington Square Music Festival offers its 56th season of free music and song. Harmonica & Harp with Festival Orchestra will feature: Soloist: Robert Bonfiglio, harmonica (called “the Paganini of the harmonica by The Los Angeles Times); Lutz Rath, conductor and the Washington Square Music Festival Orchestra performing Heitor Villa Lobos’ Concerto for Harmonica, Gustav Mahler’s Adagietto for strings and harp from his Fifth Symphony. Also works by Peter von Winter and JP Saxe, grandson of cellist János Starker, performing his own compositions. Enrico received a degree in classical guitar from the Conservatory of l’Aquila in Italy in 1976. His artistic career started in Rome where he soon became known in the musical community. But Enrico is even MORE exciting because, in addition to jazz guitar, he also sings, and he plays harmonica. In addition to jazz and Latin American music, his repertoire also often has an Italian component. He has a background in theater, which gives him a wonderfully engaging stage presence.
