Some friends of my sister made this beautiful blanket for my daughter Melissa who was diagnosed with breast cancer 5 years ago and is currently undergoing testing for it again, It came with this beautiful letter. Melissas Warrior Power Blanket This blanket and pillow has a special meaning behind it and I would like to share it with you. This is given to you with love and faith. This is a special blanket and pillow with the cancer ribbons that represents all that have walked down this road before you, especially our best friend and sister Darci. While you are going through Chemo, Radiation, Holistic treatment or decide to forgo treatment, there may be times when you feel bad or sick or tired. When this happens, look down at your blanket and remember that each one of the ribbons represents someone who has been there before you and to draw your strength from them. THEY will give you the POWER to go on. THEY will give you the STRENGTH to go on, THEY will give you the COURAGE to go on. THEY will give you the HOPE to go on, THEY are the powerful ones that you, who are going through cancer, need to draw on. Everyone needs something to lean on and each of these ribbons represents a life that is something you CAN lean on.
