Some gardeners say they must have the latest daylilies on the market but Gail and I have always stuck with historicals and those that are in the 15-35 years out range. Those older ones appear to us to have more established genetics and we can guarantee winter hardiness and vigorous growth easier. In our drive to offer later blooming daylilies we have always included Island Sand Dollar. Heres the registration information: Island Sand Dollar (Klehm, 1990) height 36in (91cm), bloom 6in (15.0cm), season MLa, Tetraploid, Fragrant, Soft pastel blend. It is midseason-to-late which means August-on here in this part of Vermont. It is three feet tall in a couple-three years and the bud count is great, Give it some thought. #gardening; #ilovegardening; #thevermontgardener; #lovehgtv;
