Some good birds creeping in right at the end of April to change the final results for the month quite substantially: Western Cape – 83 Mozambique – 48 Eastern Cape – 36 Limpopo – 22 Namibia – 20 Kwazulu Natal – 17 Mpumalanga – 11 Wider Gauteng challenge area – 10 Northern Cape - 8 Botswana – 6 Gauteng – 3 North-west – 2 Free State – 2 Zimbabwe - 1 The top scorers of the month came from Mozambique with Great Knot and Bohm’s Bee-eater and the Western Cape with Chatham Albatross all scoring 20 points each whilst other high scorers were the White-headed Petrel and Salvin’s Albatross from the Western Cape and the Bridled Tern and dead Barau’s Petrel from the Eastern Cape.
