Some great stories to capture your hearts this morning. Here is iris when she came into us. And just look at her now. Now know as Betsy - Here we have Betsy the greyhound (AKA Iris) having a gallop in the sand arena at her mum;s yard Hazel Mahoney. Betsys family wanted to adopt a greyhound to join them, their other two dogs and horses, after their lovely greyhound Rosie passed away and they chose Betsy , they knew the challenges and stastics that black beauties face ....and chose her instantly. She left earlier this year and they love her so much. Statistically black dogs are overlooked time and time again, Black sighthounds are the most marginalized group. People need to see the dog for who they are, not the colour of their hair. We have some gorgeous black beauties at our shelter , some full of beans , some quiet and shy , all just waiting patiently for their families to find them.
