Some gripes: It irritates me when someone says, Its blue in color.Isnt the in color part implied? Is it necessary? What else would it be blue in? Its a filler phrase, used to fill time and space. I also think people say it because they think it makes them sound smarter. (It doesnt.) Also, the word so when its used in this manner: I so told you. Or, Camouflage underwear is so your style. It just sounds dumb. Another unnecessary word. And yes, I realize that it is the current slang. And yes, I realize I sound like a cranky old man. (I am.) One more: Male nurse. I think the fact that he is a dude means the male part of male nurse is not required. Its okay to just say, Hes a nurse. End of rant. (And cue the comments utilizing one or more of these gripes...)
