Some have a wrong concept of Moral Government Theology thinking - TopicsExpress

Some have a wrong concept of Moral Government Theology thinking its only about keeping a set of rules and have missed the point. Perhaps you have not seen the many, many posts and comments I have made about Moral Government Theology that specifically talked about the fact that If we LOVED Christ, we would keep His commandments and that It is not difficult nor burdensome to be continually faithful to the One we TRULY LOVE! Also the scores of posts and comments I have made about the perfection that Christ commanded Be ye perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect being a perfection of heart based on a love for God. I have even stated that its quite possible that there will be a one question entrance exam for the Kingdom of God... That question would be Did you love God?... It was a little tongue-in-cheek but it made the point. Plus I have stated repeatedly that God created each of us specifically for a LOVING RECIPROCAL RELATIONSHIP with our Creator. I also said that this relationship does NOT INCLUDE SINNING! While I continually stress the Moral Law of God and obedience, I have gone to great lengths over the years on FB to also say that all true obedience is done from a heart that loves God. I have even quoted many times from J W Jepsons book It All Adds Up To Love which is a companion book to Charles Finneys writings. I have defended Gods character against those who would impugn it including the Calvinists and the Armenians. I have done so with the intent to encourage whosoever will to think about what their beliefs say about the nature and character when brought to their logical conclusion. I say all this to make sure that you do not miss the heart of Moral Government Theology that I think is not only important but essential to a right relationship with God! Here is a recent quote I posted from Winkie Pratneys book REVIVAL We say we want revival. But, who today is prepared to live a life of absolute obedience to the Holy Spirit, tackling sin in the church as well as the street, preaching a message of PERFECTION OF HEART AND HOLINESS OF LIFE--a message feared and hated by the religious and street sinner alike? I strongly believe that Moral Government Theology is by far more faithful to the nature and character of the God of the Bible then any other theological system in existence. MGT includes Divine Nescience without which, no tenable theodicy is possible. And lastly, how many times have I posted the link to Dean Harveys message The Broken Heart Of God, which for me is the very essence of the foundation of Moral Government Theology and the greatest thing I have learned about God in my lifetime? So if you think MGT is about keeping a list of rules... Youve missed it. https://youtube/watch?v=1NASVdkeYB4
