Some heavy and potentially thundery outbreaks of showery rain are gradually making there way northeastwards across the country and will begin to effect Midland regions within the next couple of hours. Initially in southern areas of Laois, and Offaly these showery bursts will quickly spread across remaining areas of the Midlands by this evening. The showery rain will lead to some dangerous driving conditions and may possibly lead to some spot flooding in prone areas. The showery rain will gradually clear during tonight and early tomorrow.
