Some info I read the other morning after I was nominated for the Ice Bucket Challenge and decided to do some research. As of Sunday, the ALSA said it had received $13.3 million in donations since July 29, compared with $1.7 million during the same period last year. It said there were about 260,000 new donors...“Did we ever imagine the level of awareness or the money that is coming in? Only in our dreams we did,” said Pete Frates’s mother, Nancy Frates. So yes, people by and large, are donating. Only in this day and age do we search tirelessly for a reason to complain about charity. There are just soooo many other stupid beliefs of yours no one would care about that you could log on to Facebook and share aside from demeaning people for participating in a charitable ice bucket challenge. Should everyone be donating when making a video? Of freaking course. But is it the end of the world if someone doesnt donate and still makes a dumb video of themselves if it means one more additional person knows about a bad disease? Jesus H. Christ, people. Please be bothered by something more worthy of your angry time.
