Some jumps are meticulously planned, others are just a bunch of goons trying their luck on the day. What follows is definitely the latter. Myself, Daniel Witchalls and Johnny Utah were gifted this cracking tourist attraction in Germany by our Teutonic chums Gee and Frank Petrikat , neither of whom (being locals) wished to get busted jumping this object as the repercussions could have been detrimental to their jobs. Sneaking our parachutes past reception and security was the main issue, and having rejected the idea of wearing them under raincoats and looking like hunchbacks, I opted to hide mine in a small suitcase on wheels and the others fronted it out with theirs in BASE stash bags. To reduce bulk and assist what little stealth we could muster, helmets, cameras and kneepads were all relinquished. This was my 133rd unique object and somewhere around my 350th BASE jump at that point. A memorable day-blazing bandit jump of the most outrageous magnitude. Thanks to the boys for capturing it on the camera they snuck in as observers.
