Some kid reach out to me who is an illustrator. Apparently is is just graduating from some art school. HE drew a few illustrations of me that were pretty great. I ask him how much for a full finished one and he said $1,500. Now Im not here to tell anyone what they are worth but you figure a young illustrator plus a DJ who has a pretty good world wide brand could probably help each other whether it would be exposure on his end or just making my brand a look cooler. I understand as an artist that you are using your time and resources to do something one of a kind. But if you are reaching out to me and you want to get some exposure thats a lot of money to ask. As a DJ coming up how many countless gigs have I done for free or next to nothing? I still do gigs for next to nothing sometimes because I understand that its not all about the money. Its about putting yourself in positions where people see your creativity. Its about the art. I wont knock someones hustle. Its all love.
