Some last thoughts on 2014…it was an interesting year filled with some wonderful new opportunities, a LOT of hard work and because of that, unfortunately, way too little social fun time. Since I just moved back to the LA from Canada in August of 2013, last year was very much laying the ground work and rebuilding my life here. Life is much more complex than what we show each other on Facebook. Its filled with struggles and hardships and not the filtered and selective glimpse we share. A relationship that started off great and ended badly and the illness of a parent arent necessarily things I wanted to share as they happened last year. So I shouldered those things privately and keep moving forward. There are some people Id like to thank for their friendship, support, inspiration & generosity in 2014…My agent Franie Black, Perry Meek, Peter Saenz, Allan Neuwirth, Peter Borzotta, Daniel Nardicio, Lisa Lawrence, Miles Davis Moody, Ben Cuevas, Mario Diaz, Jackie Beat, Nadya Ginsburg, Selene Luna, Muffy Bolding, Lynda Carter, Alan Cumming, Alfredo Roagui, Erik Thaller, Mark E. Tillson Jr., Joseph Hu, Jon Jon, David Robinson, Greg Cassius, Michael Kosh, Mike Enders, Christie Marston, Geoffrey Prince, all the talented artists who chose to draw this monkey, especially Mel Odom and Marc-Antoine Coulon, the HunTees boys Viktor Pelayo and Marc Loren, all the people who honoured me by purchasing my original artwork, t-shirts, prints, etc., and my incredible sister Karyn Hanson-Schmidt who is far away but remains a tireless source of support for me and our whole family. To everyone else, THANK YOU for everything in 2014 and lets make 2015 as LOVING, CREATIVE and AMAZING as possible!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
