Some may have heard me mention jungle crabs now and then. Right - TopicsExpress

Some may have heard me mention jungle crabs now and then. Right now, with the rains, their migration to the sea has been triggered to lay eggs. They emerge from the jungle making their way to the ocean to mix eggs, sea water and sperm to start a new generation. Unfortunately many are killed on the roads, eaten by predators and by people as well. There are a few different species. They range from small (2 inches) to very large, as big as your two hands together and come in many colors, blue, tan, bright red and more. Here is a little video that Belem took yesterday of one feeding in the yard. This one is about hand size.
