Some may like this song... I once did too... until I compared the lyrics to Gods Word... Jesus didnt come to be serve, entertained or treated like a King. He came to die - born for the cross - Lamb of God... and His march to the cross started the day He added a body to His Godhood - the birth of Christ at the manger. So, why do we have some classics like this one that describe a drummer boy at the manger?... This is what Jesus said: For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many. (Mark 10:45) ~ I do like that they talk about giving our best to Christ... but, entertaining people with distracting pleasures - to the best of our ability? ... According to Gods Word, He doesnt find that to be a pure sacrifice to Him... How about just singing about Him, and teaching others to obey Him...?
