Some minutes ago a leftist (read an ardent CPM supporter) asked me whether Id be comfortable to see my parents, sisters, relatives, snogging each other at the Kiss for Love @ Jadavpur protests. I told him that Id be more than happy if my parents decide to participate in such a mode of dissent; Id be elated to see my siblings passionately kissing their partners on the roads in broad daylight, Id be rather inspired if my grandparents/teachers/relatives dare to express love without the slightest inhibition. A day will soon come when people irrespective of their religion, age, caste, creed, gender, and orientation will come out and meet on each others lips. A day when desire will not sound obscene, when people will be free from societal suppression. Youve become a spoiled pervert, he remarked. And blocked me. Im glad that at least one rascal volunteered to leave my friend list. :)
