Instructor: Aryn Savard from The Goddess Movement Time: 12pm-1:30pm Rate: $70.00 Aryn Savard is an international instructor who specializes in being a movement mechanic. Aryns degree in exercise physiology, years of movement analysis and 5+ years of professional performance make her instruction effective and easy to follow and her personality makes her classes loads of fun! Join Aryn for this 1.5 hour workshop where we will warm up with 1-2 intermediate combinations and then focus on all the aspects of creating effective and interesting handsprings. If you are new to learning handsprings, come learn the building blocks! If you have your handspring, learn new ways to get into/out of them or variations such as pheonix, elbow hold pop to handspring and more! This workshop is good for those who can successfully climb and have a decent aerial suspension (hand/forearm grip, body and legs away from pole). HAND BALANCING & ACRO WORKSHOP Instructor: Jason Waugh from The Circus Lab Time: 2pm-4pm Rate: $70.00 Jason will be coming back to AVA Fitness in a few weeks to introduce partner acro and hand balance. The skills will not only add more of an acrobatic element to choreography, but will also aid in muscle development that would not normally be achieved outside of this training. This in turn makes the acrobat’s body that much stronger no matter what their own performance style is. Progressions will be laid out from beginner levels to advanced levels. There will always be material that each student will be able to achieve in class, adding to their short term and long term goals. Skills included will work around the mechanics of a solid handstand, how to modify a handstand for artistic elements and various ways to get into that handstand, whether from a cartwheel, press or more dynamic method!
