Some more positive developments on the #humanist marriage story. The Green Party of England and Wales leader Natalie Bennett has announced her partys support for legalising humanist marriage after the election. This means that the Greens now join Labour and the Liberal Democrats in supporting legalisation of humanist marriage. This follows on from a politically motivated block on legalisation by Number 10 this week. Our thoughts continue to be with those thousands of couples who had their hearts set on a legal humanist marriage ceremony without an additional visit to the register office in order to make it official. They want a ceremony conducted by a humanist celebrant who shares their values and their approach to life, one which is utterly personal and entirely tailored to focus solely on their love and their commitment to each other.
